There is a why song I remember now called Darla where Jel was on the drums and why was singing about an industrial farm chicken. That one's a tasty jam.

I agree the why band stuff is better than the why solo stuff. I like a few songs by him but haven't really had the stomach for him. Doseone either. I like the clouddead instrumentals more than the vocal stuff. I love reaching quiet though and it is so weird and special. The why albums are weird and special too they are just cleaner and more refined and rq just has that special something.

I'll have to check out the private press again. I thought it was good, but at least in terms of my own personal taste, not as good as Endtroducing.  i'll definitely check out reaching quiet for sure. Haven't heard that project yet. Also very cool to hear it was recorded before they moved out west and why? Would eventually mutate into a full band. That's not a criticism of that move by the way, I think they made some very interesting music as a group. And in fact I think the full band stuff is better than Yoni's first couple attempts at a solo album. I think his artistic vision really started coming together on the sanddollars EP.

Oh and Reaching Quiet was all recorded in Sinci before the move out west.

Check out Reaching Quiet. They have two albums not on dsps butthey are on youtube. Reaching Quiet = yoni and nosdam. A great weird couple of albums. OK I may post more. Just saw this yay!

You should listen to The Private Press. It is like endtroducing but better. The stuff after that is very different.
