Two popes publicly chastised him. We need to acknowledge how rare and unprecedented this is. Vance seems to have permanently discredited his Catholic public witness by trying to correct the pope. He’s been Catholic for, what, eight years? And now the Pope and American Catholic leadership are openly and directly opposing him.

It’s so sad to see the attacks on education, and I agree that it’s part of a system of control. I know it started after Brown versus board of Ed and has been going on for a long long time, but these recent attacks are really really bad.

Nice to see that the state of New Mexico is trying to make tuition free. In 2016, when there was talk of making college tuition free again, I spoke with some college students who laughed at the idea. I had to explain to them that there was a time in college was more or less free, they had no idea.

People can say what they want about Biden, but he did pardon many college loans. This could have been a way to motivate more people to enroll in higher education. Better than pardoning January sixers! That probably didn’t even cost anymore than 10 spent missiles.

Even if you spot them the "scripture," Hegseth introduces it as a reading from the Book of Caesar, which he pronounces "See-sarr." This is what is fun about American Protestants. If you think the Bible might contain a "Book of Caesar," sorry, that is a different religion

Chef Jack, I could say the same thing about the war. Is it fair that we have to pay for these conflicts half way around the world? Their missiles would never reach us,yet we’re all up in their business supposedly trying to make things better. Trump said that their  uranium stash had been obliterated yet we’re back in there cause of it. So, what is it? Was it, or was it not destroyed? We need to worry about our own problems here.
