This song was written in 2 sessions. The chorus was solid right from the start, but everything else came together after we'd met for the first time and I'd then brought him home to SA, introduced him to my family and knew I was totally and unequivocally in this thing with him. I still love this song and the sentiments expressed so much. And the person. I fucking adore the person. I've had the new year's kiss now. In Belgium, with friends around us and champaign on a balcony. But knowing this song existed before all of that still makes it one of my favourite things i've ever written.

Ok, I'm just gunna be soppy for a minute. This killed me the first time I heard it. And every time you play it it still does. You are my best thing. Its that simple.
