I really wish we would not generalize when it comes to dealing with people. There are many older people who do not lose track of time or do not have trouble with their concentration, but have sharp minds keep themselves organized and can very well help others to stay organized as well. So let’s try to be more specific in who we’re talking about. I guess it would be OK to say some older people that would be much more than the truth because some younger people go through the same thing.

I’m always thought of a lie something that was deliberately done to deceive another person. Now I don’t think these people are necessarily deceiving you when they say they’re going to do the things they’re going to do, but don’t do them exactly at the time that you think they should. I thought that’s a little harsh. If they’re going to lie to you, maybe they just think of a way to back out of visiting you in the first place. But I see how you feel about those who don’t respect your wishes, but what consideration to you give to though do you give to those who might have exceptions to your rules?
