Sister Self-destruction is the self-destructive impulse within all of us. She is the devil on our shoulders, the voice that tells us to hurt our bodies and minds, to act on the worst of our impulses, to damage the ones we love and burn every bridge. She is the voice we all must fight against, the aching, quaking desire to unravel our live slowly, stitch by stitch, lest she drag us down until the only soul we can love is her. However she comes to you, reader, heed my warning, internalise these words. She is not someone to be messed with, and she will never rest until our lives implode. We all must learn to Revere Sister Self-destruction, even when we are pulled in by her pain. This album contains extremely dark and sensitive subject matter, expressed in painstaking detail.
