Tell Jim, you see, there are exceptions, and this is one of them. The late blues musician B.B. King named his guitar Lucille. A lot of people named their cars and their instruments, and that's not a bad thing. It's actually perfectly natural for a musician to do. Even ordinary people will name their cars and give their instruments names. A lot of people do and a lot of musicians do, it's actually very common and natural. I don't see a problem with it. It is what it is. Some people even will literally name their home appliances. It's very common for people to do. There are exceptions.

Well, I can appreciate your post, I must say that I never give things to inanimate objects. I give things to God who made all an objects, animate, and inanimate.
