Weird James
I was the only blind student at a New York City private high school from age 11 to 18. I was in the chorus and quite good at it. When we went to Europe, this then-boy was quite sheltered but finally finally got to interact with my classmates in a way that was more authentic. I was a sensitive defensive person back then and so was quiet and intense. I wish I had put myself out there in high school but I was disconnected and misanthropic. Still I learned a lot and had good times and moments. A great memory wa talking to some folks from high school and learning the background insecurities that I didn't know about before. It felt good to know that I wasn't the only one stewing in doubt.
