Several analysts pointed out that Anthony brought a knife to the meet, had his hand on it before any physical contact, and made statements like “touch me and find out,” which suggested he anticipated and was prepared to use deadly force. Witness testimony described him stabbing Metcalf in the chest once during a confrontation that started as a shove over seating under a tent, which prosecutors framed as a disproportionate response to relatively low‑level force. Because murder in Texas is satisfied if he “knowingly and willingly caused the death,” experts have said a jury could reasonably see this as a deliberate lethal act rather than merely reckless behavior, even if he did not wake up that day planning to kill anyone.[youtube +5]

those unfortunately that are our country men know where they can get away with that kind of behavior and where they can't. In the 60s here in Connecticut they ride in Hartford. They moved into a Italian neighborhood. All the Italian men for blocks were sitting on the front porch with rifles, shotguns and pistols. They saw that and turned right around. That's how you deal with thugs.
