I have only one friend that I had since I was young. It was my friend who I met when I started high school at around 14 years old or so. I am just like a month and a half older than her. We are still friends today. We've been living apart for a number of years because she moved out of state after she graduated from college. So I don't see her often but it's good to see her when I do. I guess she would be considered my best friend even though we don't talk as often as we used to. But we are still definitely a part of each other's life. It would've been super super cool if she did not move away and stay away after college. If she stayed in the same town that would've been phenomenal but she followed a job. I get it. But even though we are still a part of each other's lives, there's a lot of things we think differently about. Like I said I guess she would be considered my best friend but we do have a lot of differences in how we see things. So when I do see her in person, it's a little awkward. Even over the phone sometimes it's a little awkward. But she is a wonderful person. I'm glad to have met her so many years ago. And I have a handful of other people who I've known for perhaps at least 30 years. Which is cool.
