  OK. There’s a lot I have to say. First of all, most of us don’t have time to chat on social media with blind people 24 seven. And honestly, there’s little, if at all solidarity among the blind community. Sorry to ruffle some feathers. But it’s the truth. It’s my experience that the majority of blind people online need to grow some backbone and stop all the self-pity. I’m glad that I grew such incredible resilience with lots of sided people around me. Now, that doesn’t mean I won’t ask questions and seek answers among my fellow blind people. But does it mean I will rely on them the majority of the time? No. Because unfortunately, from my observation 99% of the time I would probably be dragged down alongside them. Sorry but not sorry.
