    My Dad remarried when I was roughly 15 and had a son soon after. One day when he was a toddler, he apparently decided that canes were cool and that maybe he should have one. The story goes, he just casually picked up a curtain rod and started trying to use it as a cane! Sighted kid. Wish I'd been there to see that moment myself.

    Dan, they still make me tap my metro card everywhere but to be fair all train stations here in LA require you to tap to open the gates into the platform/station. But, yes, I think that many sighted bus drivers clearly could see in totally blind peoples eyes that their clearly blind.
