Yeah I have that same thing with windows 10, a lot of notifications won't actually do anything but go away when you click them, it's annoying, make sure to try enter and space both, yep, you just mentioned that. The touch screen might help you sometimes too like you're talking about, I've seen that work before, Microsoft really needs to fix that probllem, no doubt.
