That's why I always say that I am not a blind person, I am a person who just so happens to be blind. Our blindness is not what defines us, we define it. We are the only ones that can create boundaries for ourselves. Even when the world tries to hold us back, or even forgets that we exist, we still rise above.  💯💯💯👍🏽

While doing homework with my daughter she found a survey of most common medical concerns, the first is cancer, second is heart disease and the third is blindness. Think about this, most of us on this platform deal with being legally blind every day of our life. Yes, we have frustrations and go through some difficult times but listening to some of the rambles on here we are a group of diverse people with so much to offer. Everything from college students to parents to those who are employed and those who make wonderful music for us to enjoy. All of this is accomplished by people who have loss of sight but not loss of vision. Now back to what I was doing LOL, have a fantastic night friends.

Well said, it seems like you have already accomplished great things, I think most of us have been in your position at one time or another. Stay strong and continue to show the world you can do it even through blindness. You know most people just don’t understand because they have never been in your situation, they feel that sight is so important it almost defines what they can do and loosing that ability would crush them. We know different right?
