The industry never really recovered from Covid, and now the Silicon Valley streaming companies are taking over and The Spectre of AI is looming large. I thought Conan O’Brien‘s intro was pretty good for at least acknowledging that.

I haven’t seen all of the nominated films yet  but it seems like it was a really good year for movies. I’m glad they aren’t only making comic book and intellectual property nostalgia movies, but stories that are a bit more real and relevant.
