To Claress: I have both an iPad and a MacBook. They are not the same. Not even close. I’ve tried to replace my MacBook with the iPad several times and it just, does not work the same. There are apps available for the iPad that aren’t available for the Mac, there are apps available for the Mac that just aren’t available for the iPad. And even using things like apples pages, numbers, and keynote, Microsoft Office, etc are still dramatically different experiences. The Mac is absolutely purpose built for typing in a way that even a Bluetooth keyboard or the magic keyboard with the iPad cannot replicate. There are still so many little quirks and issues iPadOS has that remind you every single day that it’s basically just a blown up iPhone. And by the way, I love my iPad, so please do not think that I am negative on that product. It absolutely has its place. But anyone who has used macOS very well knows that it is not the same.
