You really want to hear that audiobook but you don’t like the narrator‘s voice does that stop you?

I can't get into an audio book if the performance of the narrators/voice actors is subpar, however; I'd still take my chances if both the plot and narration are on point, but the quality might not be the best. I also loathe when narrators are randomly swapped out throughout the series as was the case with "An Heir Comes To Rise" by Chloe Peñaranda, where they swapped out the voice of critically acclaimed narrator Elizabeth Evans for some other Elizabeth whose reading style was akin to a slurring drunk.

No, I have never let that stop me, although I have thought about it. But I like to give narrators a chance. Everybody’s uniquely different. And I have read a couple of books like Alex Halley‘s queen I would get who the man was that read the book, but I really didn’t like his voice that much I got used to it and I made it through the book, but I was not satisfied with the narration. But usually, if I’m interested in reading a book it’s not because of the narrator it’s because of the content, so unless the narrator is really horrible I’m going to give him our her a chance and hopefully I will get used to their voices if they’re strange and will just get through the book with no problems

I have sometimes experienced NLS, narrators, not being too good. Sometimes when they have a volunteer reading. But if the story is good, I’ll put up with it.
