Okay. Thank you.
You can go on NLS website and order the braille books through braille on demand program
So I have one more question. Sorry lol. So when you actually wanna order a book, like a physical braille book, do you have to actually call them, or can you do it online? Like NLS.
Thanks. I mean, I do have audible, but I don't know. A nice braille book is the way to go I think. Because you don't have to hear a voice reading it to you. With a braille book, you can kind of just imagine yourself in a character's situation. It's just not the same with an audio book lol. If that makes sense. I love braille.
Oh okay. Thank you. I'll check those out.
You can also contact the NLS for the braille on demand program. A huge percent of the time… They will have the title you’re looking for in braille. You also get to keep those books forever if you have the shelf space in your living headquarters for it. I am the kind of person that likes all formats of reading… Physical braille books… Digital braille from a braille display… Even audio sometimes.
OK… I’m gonna say this again because I tried to record it and conveniently the recording audio did not allow me to. If you have access to your local talking library service in your city… You can request books from the braille on demand program with the NLS online. You can also request a free braille display from the NLS and sometimes your local talking. Library can give those to you the same way that Perkins School For The Blind does for me here in Massachusetts. Once you get access to that device… You can download books from Book Share… BARD
Oh okay. Can you get braille books even if you don't have a braille display or an SD card? Like all I have is my phone. And I don't have a library card or anything like that. So how could I get braille books if I don't have anything? I know of the Braille Superstore and Seedlings Books, but aren't those all like children's books or something?
Where do you order your braille books from?
