Can confirm: it's miserable. I generally like the heat, but it's stupid early and I'm already cooking. I think the thing that makes it worse is that we have very high humidity and literally no breeze. Pray for the pets; that's all I'm saying.

My gods, this thread devolved. I agree with air-conditioning in schools at least. Concentrating when you’re bored is one thing, but when you’re bored and uncomfortable because it’s too hot, that’s another. If we consent to having heat in schools, which we do, why not air conditioning when the discomfort is in the other direction? Meaning, kids shouldn’t have to study when they’re cold, and they shouldn’t have to study when they’re hot either.
