  And yes, in college we called the residence assistance are A’s. House parents might have been called that back in the day because people boarded at school in many instances only going home on the weekends, so the term could’ve, been not only to designate them as head of the cottage, what our dorms were called, but as a means for promoting a caring relationship hopefully .
