Vsevolod, You can DM me anytime. Just a heads up, I might be slow to reply since I’m not always active here. Please don’t take it personally if I take a bit to get back to you.

Jesse, Thank you so much for that explanation; it really made a lot of sense. I agree that, even with the European Accessibility Act, there hasn’t been as much change as we’d hope. For instance, in Portugal, my banking app is now about 90-95% accessible, which is great. However, many companies still lack full understanding of accessibility. Sometimes they hire consultants, but it’s not always clear if they truly know what they’re doing. I’m not an expert in coding—I know a bit, but not enough to fully understand how coding and accessibility intertwine. I do know that there are guidelines developers follow, like proper labeling, and that’s where I’m starting. But I’m always eager to learn more, and I’ll definitely do some research. Accessibility is a passion of mine, and I’m excited to keep exploring it. Thanks again.

I have a question. I get the difference between an accessibility tester and an accessibility consultant, but can an accessibility consultant also give legal advice to companies and businesses? For instance, in some countries, accessibility for certain services is required by law. Can an accessibility consultant help with that? Also, I’m curious about how someone can become an accessibility tester or consultant. I work in quality assurance, but I’m really interested in accessibility because it’s a topic I’m passionate about.
