Count me as another hypocritical person. I have ADHD, which means that my attention span for listening to posts is very short, but also means that my rambles are a little long because I struggle to stay on topic and shut up. It does depend on who I'm listening to and what they're talking about though. If someone is an engaging enough speaker, I'll stick around for a while, whereas if there are many lengthy pauses between words and lots of um-ing and uh-ing, I'll wander off. I would say if it's longer than 3 minutes, I'm going in expecting to get bored.

I think it all depends on what they are talking about. Usually I can't go beyond 5 minutes.

I didn’t quite get to the end of your recording… But for me it is more about what somebody is saying and how quickly they get to the point. If somebody has an incredibly long preamble I probably won’t stick around to hear the rest. And I realise that I am being rather hypocritical here, having recorded a 15 minute ramble earlier today that was probably about 80% preamble! If it helps, I would have given up and stopped my recording way before I actually got to the point, and I actually consider doing a shortened version afterwards.

Yes for me if the message is to long i lose focus. I like them to be about three or four minutes at the most.
