DA Jones. I want to salute and thank you for every single thing you said here. I’m seeing a lot of videos on YouTube and a movement where other ethnic communities that have practice racism/allied supremacy with supremacy against blacks are admitting these things. And that doesn’t make no one better than anyone. When you start with truth, then moving forward looks more realistic. and of course I’m not saying that we are the only ones that have experience racism or white supremacy, but the thread was about personal experiences so that’s what I started with.

Here is a very informative short I’m sharing. I’m not going to spam this thread with messages, but this is interesting. Now I don’t subscribe to political parties, sides of arguments, but her messages way bigger than the title itself. Salute, respect and blessings to all of y’all . https://youtube.com/shorts/Y-vbJzfc2YI?si=WKlKj5gpgnTCq_tU

One thing I have noticed over the years is that a large majority of those that are filled with that kind of hate.Rarely turn away from it like I did! What I mean by that is, those that are racist seldom turn in the direction I took! That’s not to say I’m better than anyone else, it just means I had an awakening! Few people are privileged enough to experience awakenings! It is sad that more of those apparitions do not occur to facilitate more similar acts to mine. I appreciate you giving me the venue to speak on this. All too often white people want to deny what I stated as fact this country was built on that superiority complex! Sadly enough, no one wants to admit that. Much less admit, they had some connection to that historically. Not directly but proverbially.

I’m glad to have learned about what sharecropping was when I was in middle school because it helped give me a foundation of what happened here in the US. Sharecropping = you get a little money for working on someone’s land. People who used to be enslaved often accepted this deal but it didn’t give them enough money to move out, and didn’t give much self esteem. It was business as usual lite oppression edition. It’s important to understand history and how slavery shaped the US.

Slavery wasn’t a TV show.

As a younger person I was one of those people who didn’t understand why people were making a big deal out of slavery, even after learning that stuff. I was like, the world is now! Now now now! Burning excitement! But that was only my own feeling, and knowing that stuff about sharecropping made stuff I learned later in life make more sense all across the board.
