I feel the most of us formally sided people who have had a chance to see what a Christmas tree, or holiday decorations look like can at least paint a picture whenever someone says that "this is beautiful." hopefully I do not sound like a dick, or seem to be stepping out of line when I say that at least when they forget that you're blind that they've always continue to treat you normally. The feeling of burden is something that I still struggle with after 18 years, and the truth of the matters that I'm the only one in my family that thinks that.

I agree with you letting the emotions out, and that at times crying can be very therapeutic. This is why once a year I go visit a friend of mine who who was in the Marines with me, and we take some psilocybin mushrooms to let all those emotions out that we would normally hold in throughout the year. I have always found this sort of therapy much more rewarding than any other therapy that I've been through in the past such as EMDR, and prolong exposure.
