I think these things are mostly region-specific. For example, standalone single-purpose devices sold in India might not be available in the UK. Your best bet would be to drop an email directly to RNIB at techtalk@rnib.org.uk detailing the whole scenario. Aside from that, is there any possibilities of getting some sort of assistance from Sight & Sound? I personally just follow them on YouTube.

Well, given her current situation, you should ask RNIB about a pretty simple radio. Make sure to confirm about her preferred choice before emailing them. The product needs to both suit her preferences and be as easy to access as possible. Personally, there isn't much more I can do on my end other than suggesting that her family should take her to a physical training center if possible, so she can mingle with peers and choose the right gadgets for herself.
