I've taken plenty of screenshots with the screen curtain on. They came out perfectly. You're thinking of screen recording. That you have to turn the screen curtain off for.

Tbh I always take pics with my screen curtain on and they turn out fine, as long as they're not screenshots like Lauren said. I like to use the back camera, not sure why I guess because I don't want to accidentally be touching stuff on the screen when I'm trying to line up the shot. But I line my phone up with whatever I'm trying to get a pic of, then pull back about an arm's length away. I will often use an app like Be My AI to make sure I got what I wanted and adjust as necessary.
