You said in your message that the employee grabbed your son! If the employee physically placed her hands on your minor child, 17 being a minor, I would be finding a lawyer a no win no fee lawyer. That’s a lawsuit right there. Forget the whole thing that she should be addressing you which she should’ve! She placed her hands if that’s right you said grabbed so I’m assuming she actually physically touched your son. That’s a lawsuit right there totally inappropriate. Customer Service employees are not meant to place their hands on customers sons. Or any minor child of a customer. The CCTV cameras in Walmart, I would act fast and find myself a no win no fee lawyer.

So when you use the word grabbed. In your message. If you mean, the employee placed her Hands physically, on your 17-year-old minor child. Then get a no win no fee lawyer and take Walmart to court, lawsuit. Employees are not allowed to place their hands on customers children. Totally inappropriate. Get to know when no fee lawyer.

Contact the District manager of that Walmart you were in and make a formal complaint, documenting the time and the date that the incident happened and how it was inappropriate for not only the employee not to address you but to place her hands on your child’s body.

And if indeed the employee touched your son, you can press charges and that’s what I would do first I will press charges so it’s in the system about what happened and then proceed with a lawsuit against Walmart for the fact that that employee touched your son. That’s what I would do personally. Yes I would take it that far. No one has the right to place their hands on my child. So first step, I suggest press charges and then lawsuit.

I dealt with this a couple weeks ago and yes, I think your solution is the only one out there that makes sense and will really get some results.

I was traveling on Amtrak and the bus driver asked the assistant who was helping me if I had my ticket on me. In front of everyone, I rather loudly told him to talk to me instead of the person helping me and not to ever do that again with a blind person. He and I have since been fine with each other. No more issues like that at all. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people handle this issue by not saying anything at the time, letting it happen, and then complaining on social apps like this to other blind people or to facebook. While this might feel theraputic, it solves absolutely nothing.

They do more fighting at the NFB and the ACB then they actually do for real problems like this. It's pretty stupid.

I do agree. It’s OK to vent the blind Life struggles, but if we are not respectfully teaching and checking people on these behaviors, it’s a loss cause. Shout out to everyone who does check and educate.

I hope my post did not come acar as vacent complaining. I want to be constructive with what I post. I find no use for the big blindness organizations. We are on our own. They have removed barriers to access when it came to things like the Iphone, and have held the line on critical legislation for all people with disabilities. That's the purpose of these large organizations I think, to maintain disability infrastructure. I prove everyday kindness is not weakness. I shall continue to be myself and step around those who give me a hard time.

Theo, it didn’t come off as complaining to me. I was just responding generally to the person who spoke on it. I don’t remember if you said how you handle the situation or not, but that’s not what I look for when I listen to blind individuals tell their stories about their experience. I just listen, see where it relates to me and see what we can build up on.

boy Lord of America you love being litigious don't you? But fortunately there are ways to address a problem like this without having to get someone fired or soothe them at the hands of the law. I hope those are the ways that are pursued. All people have to do is speak up let those who have committed the offense know what they've done and usually that is enough for people to avoid making that mistake in the future
