 because I’m a singer, and my voice is my instrument, I tend to focus on vocals and lyrics of songs. But lyrics are probably the most important part of a song for me, and I will return again and again to something that resonates heavily with me lyrically.

Lyrics are the thing I care about the most in songs. More than the music or the melody or the voice or whatever, I'm a lyrics person. I can listen to songs that are just catchy and fun and don't have amazing lyrics, but my favorite ones and the ones I go back to are always going to be ones that are saying something I really feel. I write and read poetry, which is probably part of the reason for this. I do like some songs that talk about money and fame, because I love hip-hop and that's a pretty common theme there lol. They just have to do it in a way that's funny or clever.
