I received an email earlier today from Amazon saying that dash pass is included with prime membership now. I did not try to activate it yet though. I am in Canada, so there’s that.

Doordash is the actual worst. It's the only game in town where I live, so I use it by default, but I hate so much about how it works.

I was paying for a dash pass subscription for 9 months and didn't notice. When I went to cancel, my account was a regular Doordash account so I thought I was being scamm, which Doordash does have a history of doing to people who once had Dash Pass and canceled. Turns out though that my partner's account had defaulted to my card as payment for her Dashpass subscription, and she never realized it was still active because it wasn't showing up on her bank statements. We got it squared away in the end.

LOL that is kind of funny I think I did that for a VPN I thought I’d cancel it here before but it turns out the following year I hadn’t and ended up paying for it that’s why I love being reminded from time to time so a thumbs up from me on that one

Oh wow, that’s too funny. 🤣 and yeah, I agree. Subscription reminders are helpful.

I once paid for a Paramount Plus subscription for over a year without realizing, and only figured it out when I went to subscribe to the app again and realized I already was lol. So check your subscription reminders are actually genuinely helpful to me from time to time.

Yeah, that’s understandable. However, I think how the app is right now is great very easy and simple to use and very basic so if there is going to be any sort of subscription model, make sure to do the subscription tomorrow to where you can get verified or you can get extra features. I feel like all basic features that other social media apps have shouldn’t be locked under a paywall.

I guess texting doesn’t come over too well but I was only jesting with you, or as we would say pulling your leg but yeah it’s absolutely fine I think if it’s a reasonable request to pay a small fee that’s fine by me but I guess we’ll have to see how the app develops but at least it’s an option for people who want it or not

There is a thread called The Value of a Ramble where people are discussing how we can support the upkeep and development of this app through various subscription models. If you have opinions on this you should check out those comments. I mentioned it here because checking to make sure you are subscribed to things you actually want is always a good idea.
