Micah, the conservative assholes on the radio/television that you listen to are rich, that’s why they hate the idea of paying taxes. They don’t want to pay their fair share. They are the mouthpieces and ponds of even richer people who don’t want to pay their fair share either. Meanwhile, they are securing government contracts, which is essentially feeding from the public trough i.e. our tax money in the form of subsidies, corporate welfare, and tax write offs. They are essentially leeches and parasites feeding off the American public.

That being said, there is no shame in using SSI or snap or any other program regardless of your politics. I understand the hypocrisy bugs a lot of people but these are universal programs for a reason, and the minute they are not universal they end up being deleted.
