Matthew John Moran, I do agree but Iām going to push back a little on your statement, itās telegram now but what happens when a company like a bank or Amazon decides accessibility is no longer an issue. Apple started with IOS and shortly after a majority of the operating systems followed behind. Even Narrator for Windows can get the job done in many circumstances and it is even included on their server OSs. Also accessible apps lead to the job market being accessible for many who would not get the chance. This ramble is over LOL!

There was an interview on the lex fridman podcast with the creator of Telegram a while back and they are so proud of their visual effects and encryption but what about usability for everyone? Honestly I havenāt contacted their support but I really need to write an email or something for awareness.

I appreciate yāallās comments and helpful links. like Iāve emphasized in my ramble earlier, we all need to report that bug to the developers thatās the only way they will resolve this issue! Remember when Accessibility for Facebook messenger really broke for us voiceover users? It would not tell us what letter we were typing when we would write to our friends? Also about messenger, remember when VoiceOver kept on reading previous messages in the conversation window every time we would send our current message? Remember that WhatsApp bug once upon a time, no matter how loud we turn up our devices, the voice messages would sound very low and we would have no choice but to plug in our earphones in order to listen to peopleās voice messages? Weāve learned from those bugs that it does not take just one person to write to the developers. We all need to be in this together!

Okay, I have not tried this but apparently you can use Telegram from a Safari this article on AppleVis explains how to download the script. Let me know if you try it. What I have Ben doing is either replying to a message that will bring up the chat window or turning off VO and tapping at the bottom where the new message area is. Let me know if you try this, it sounds promising. https://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ipados/accessible-telegram-script-enhance-telegram-web-accessibility-voiceover-users-ios

I encountered the same issue when I had to use telegram a couple weeks ago. I couldn't even go to my profile or do anything on the app. I don't know if android is having the same issue. It's been a long time since I used it on my android device, but I can tell you that in comparison it was better than the iOS telegram app. What you can do is to download unigram, which is the same thing as telegram but it's only on PC. for now that's the only way you can access your telegram and it's very accessible.
