It’s a bug that Apple needs to fix. I’ve encountered that myself and a lot of my iMessage groups.

Just use WhatsApp and everyone has the possibility to join the group, whether they use an iPhone or Android. If not, then boundaries on your side are also important.

If you want, I can swing by there sometime this week or if you’re gonna be there this weekend and help whomever might need help with WhatsApp? It’s super easy maybe it’s just the thought of learning something new that makes them not want to use it? It is much better for group. And this is only if you’re speaking about some of the people at the center.
