I just realized that I never responded to this and I definitely meant to, so here is a ridiculously late reply lol. I Watch Her Eat the Apple by Natalie Diaz, Survival Poem #17 by Marty McConnell, Unrequited Love Poem by Sierra DeMulder, just about anything by Andrea Gibson or Louise Glück, Snow and Dirty Rain by Richard Siken, Pablo Neruda's love sonnets, Beneath My Hands by Leonard Cohen and also everything else Leonard Cohen has ever written, Dulzura by Sandra Cisneros, Mary oliver's entire body of work but especially Starlings in Winter and In Blackwater Woods and Wild Geese...I could keep going indefinitely but I won't.

Thanks for those Daisy. Out of interest, what are some of your favourite modern poems?

And Vincent Price reading The Raven is a classic. Horrible quality because it's old, but I would listen to Vincent Price read just about anything. https://youtu.be/T7zR3IDEHrM?si=cDwT7xUxzCch584S

I am not a traditionalist when it comes to poetry, so most of my favorite poems/poets are probably not going to be to your taste. But there is a Loreena McKennitt song that uses the words from the Stolen Child by Yeats that comes to mind. https://youtu.be/xM0mPtn4uKY?si=CDlSlhEBz_t3G2eq

And for an extra challenge, take a drink every time I say poetry, poem or poet in my ramble before commenting.
