  I think i would still tip if the restaurant was busy and it wasn’t the waiter’s fault. But if the waiter was rude, and the service from them was poor then i wouldn’t want to leave a tip.

  It all depends at the restaurant was busy. If not no tip. If it was, I would be understanding and still tip.

  I agree with you and I’m glad you tipped even though the service wasn’t good. Unfortunately, we live in a tipping culture where we pretty much have to subsidize the wages that the employer won’t pay. It’s very very rare that I would not leave a tip and I consider it Part of the cost of going out, however unfortunate this arrangement is.
