Well we have over the counter medications that anybody in the public in the US can buy at a store for very common things like a migrane or a cold. But, specific medications dealing with pain for example that are much stronger need a doctors signature and be prescribed which does require a visit to your doctor.

You can only obtain an antibiotic through a prescription. So yes, you would have to see a doctor for that.

That’s really interesting. So can you just walk into a store and buy antibiotics without a prescription? Do stores carry different kinds of antibiotics, or is it just a few specific ones? I’m genuinely curious how it works in Nigeria.
