Yeah, I grab his treat and then I make him run from the dining room to the living room back-and-forth for a couple of seconds and then I would hold the treat up in the air and then slowly let it back down as if to give it to him and then quickly pull it back up as soon as he grabbed it with his teeth. lol his barking is hilarious when he wants it

Sounds like you're making your dog jump for it. :D When I was a kid, I'd brandish some barbecue meat and wave it around, hold it over my head, pretend to throw it, etc., and my dog would track it with his eyes. He couldn't be tricked. The way he gobbled it up when I finally let him have it was amazing. It was so funny.
