Would appreciate any help I can get on this.

For getting photo descriptions, Aira or Be My Eyes can be used for this. Then it’s simply a matter of pasting aforementioned description into your post. Hope this helps.

So what you can do is download an app called Seeing AI once you download it there’s an option on there that you can use that described your photos once you get a description you can use that app to share that photo with a description to whatever you want to post to like Facebook or WhatsApp or any of the other stuff that you might use hopefully that helps you out

I think what she’s looking for is a way to provide customized descriptions for her own posted photos, rather than just getting descriptions for other people's photos. Technically, this is called 'Alt text,' where you write your own description for a photo (usually to describe its contents). This text isn't visible to sighted users because the font is incredibly small. On the other hand, since a screen reader has access to the UI, it doesn't care about font size at all. So, for your next post, go to your preferred app, find the photo you want to share, and you should be able to set the Alt text by following the on-screen instructions.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I already have automatic description on. But no I am not planning on downloading any extra files by any means.

Then it's totally okay to go with the default one if you are satisfied.

No I'm definitely glad for all the input I received, especially for getting description of pictures because I was also wondering how to get that done. I'll be definitely playing around with be my eyes.

You’ve never used Be My Eyes? Well, that’s an awesome app!

I had heard about being my eyes for such a long while and I actually didn't even start using it till last year, and it has been a game changer for me. Especially in the last year when my vision has become worse.

Yes, originally it did not have the Be My Eyes AI feature when the app first came out many years ago, because of course, artificial intelligence was not as a part of society as it is now. Once they implemented that feature, it completely changed the app and made it so much more better for Blind and visually impaired people. I know that right now there are some on social media that are a little creeped out regarding people posting videos of phone calls they have had with helping Blind people on social media applications/platforms like TikTok, but unfortunately, since it is volunteer based, there’s nothing they can do. Anyways, overall, I would never get rid of the app and still utilize it daily!
