And when you order your meal or coffee on the machine it often asks if you want to give a tip. A tip? For what? I did all the bloody work, you should be giving me a discount. And when you get through to a human on the phone they have no power to do anything. They're just paid to answer the phone and read the screen.

You are so right Brian. I couldn't have said it better myself. It's amazing how advanced we are as humans but the more advance we get and the more technologies we have and the more resources we have, etc., the less we want to engage in human interactions. It's almost like human interaction is becoming a bad thing. And I think that because we push to do it less and less, I think that the workers are losing their skill set. They are losing their ability to be able to communicate nicely with another human because they're not really used to it anymore. And they are not forced to do it. The computer can interact with you, the customer. They may have to give you a straw or a napkin or something, but they don't have to interact with you. So I think that we're actually losing our human kindness skills, if that makes any sense. and I think that's what's happening on the telephone too. For telephone customer service. If you fight with the bot long enough, you can perhaps talk to a human. But by the time you get to the human, they are clueless. They're not very helpful. Because they don't have much experience with customer service From beginning to end. And I guess they're probably mad at you because you couldn't figure out how to navigate with the bot so now you're making them work. Lol. Anyway, good post.
