I've figured out the name of the composer: You were playing the first movement of a Sonatina in G major written by Thomas Attwood. This is just from my memory after a long time teaching this thing, so check the information if you want to know if I'm right or not...

I'm sure I've heard this piece before—I've had to! I just can't figure out what it is from the top of my head! It is one of the pieces that I heard my students play like a million times a few years back! Why can't I remember? I'm feeling so dum not being able" to remember this piece!
