Unfortunately, there is no other way. If there was, I would have tried the second choice. But there’s not, and that’s what makes it so annoying. Onto a different topic for a moment, I am playing land of Livia, and I’m wondering if there is a way to change the name of your hero? I can’t find a profile page, or a name change choice, even when I look in the Settings app, both in the game itself, and your general iPhone settings, unless it’s there and I keep passing it? As much as I like the name I currently have, I would like to have something a little bit more feminine.

There's no other way? I've seen these micro-transactions before, but there's usually a way to not pay. It may cost you in other ways, like in game points or cash or simply waiting some time, but there is usually a way not to pay. If that's the case where you have no choice but to pay when you die, that's insane and I'd never have even paid the fee once.
