It can’t be a mirror because it is manipulated by the corporations who run it. They put many many many many biases into it. It’s not a thing from nature that is organic, so it will promote or demote whatever is in the interest of its owners, and you may not even realize this when using the product

I agree that Narcissust is the best metaphor for AI. But the studies have already started to show how it doesn’t enhance but destroys things like creativity and writing skills, similar to how cell phones and addictive social media apps have already been shown to do harm. That’s why they’re being banned in some schools already.

Just different opinions, but I think this is relevant AI’s kind of like a mirror with a keyboard. If you come in curious, thoughtful, and trying to build something good, it usually reflects that back—helpful ideas, clearer thinking, better results. If you come in angry, lazy, or just looking to stir the pot, that’s what you’ll get back too… amplified. It doesn’t have morals, opinions, or common sense of its own. It runs on patterns. So garbage in, garbage out still applies—just faster and louder than before. Used well, AI can sharpen your thinking, help you create, and open doors you didn’t know were there. Used poorly, it just makes bad ideas more efficient. In the end, AI doesn’t reveal who *it* is. It mostly reveals who *you* are when you sit down and type.

But, the big brother aspect of AI is what we should really be worried about, not to mention the amount of energy and water it requires. Also, next year we are told the AI investment bubble will collapse and need to be bailed out so it will Add to the bankruptcy and debt situation once again

People get so touchy about their stupid AI creations, you think that since they have almost nothing to do with them being created they wouldn’t get so defensive when people say how much they suck

So you do use its, I figured as much. I don’t care if it’s not music at least you’re doing something with it’t!

So I do use PiccyBot, Seeing AI, Perplexity, all those things. I just don't use Suno, those kind of apps to write things, or write music. Although I am using ElevenLabs to make voices. So gradually, I am verging into a different reality. Good for me! Lol.

That’s totally fine and totally up to you, but the rest of the world is using it, and that part is not going to change, not because I said it, but just reality. It’s kind of like fighting the sun rising.
