So I'm not sure if you share your covers for comment or if you just like to do it for fun. If for fun then this was pretty good. But if you want comment, I don't know that it's necessarily the clipping that's the issue. You have a good voice, but you don't have the best control of it in my opinion. You might benefit from taking some voice lessons to help you learn how to have better control of it. And some additional vocal training might also help you pick songs that better suit it. There are free lessons on YouTube, and I'm sure that either with Alexa or some other virtual assistant you can also do freelance vocal training.
