I was fired from my retail job after almost 2 years because of my disability. They didn't come right out and say it but, they pretty much did. They lied and claimed that my doctor told them that I was unqualified. But that if my medical stats ever changed, to give them a call and they would be happy to work with me. Yes, I did sue, and yes, I did win, and used part of that money to buy our home. If you think for even a second that, A, the majority of the world are visually impaired, and B, that we have it easy as pie and we are not discriminated against, sir, you are absolutely in the clouds delusional, and you are beyond hope and help. Behind your big words, and your fancy paragraphs, you are an absolute embarrassment to this community. As far as I'm concerned, you, and those who are like you need to get the fuck out of the way and step aside, so that those of us who actually have a chance in this world can at least try to make a difference in this community. All right, that's one for the blind community. It's possible that there are more blind people than we thought. Let's keep going.  exhibit B braille on the bathrooms or the elevators. OK, I guess that's one and a half for the blind community. I think knowing that there are sided people surrounding me all the time everywhere I go, and everyone thinks that I know everyone else who's blind that's close to here.  tells me all that I need to know. But that does bring up a curious question…  I wouldn't mind knowing how many blind people were in the entire world. That would be an interesting thing to find out.
