Depends on the definition of curse word. My gut reaction was to say no, I'd like it if politicians spoke like regular joes. However, big wig politicians are supposed to represent as many people. As much as the president or pm should represent nerdyGamerGirl420 "splitting my fucking kitten with a dragon vibrator, yo. Smoke that green!" they should also be able to represent Christine Shepard the elderly family matriarch, the sunday church grandmother who says the lord's blessing before every meal. I think a sensible person would recognize the enormous responsibility they have and be moderate in their language. An F-bomb here and there depending on the venue and crowd isn't the end of the world, but yelling "niggerfaggot" on live television probably not so much.

Trump is older than you! I agree though, Brian. I'd like politics to at least contain a veneer of decorum. Well, important distinction. "We've got a fucking problem. The economy is in the shitter and we need to pull our heads out of our asses and do something about it." is way different to "these fucking democucks have ruined our country. Biden, have you sniffed any little girls lately?". One has a target target and escalates aggressively, the other one is just speech. I don't care about swearing, but I still think politicians should be aware of all the people in the country and air on the side of caution.

Trump is a barking dog. When one dog barks, the rest joins in. You'd think that people look at a debate and take the side of the person who acts rationally, but politics is a blood sports and blood sports riles up the crowd. Why do we care about who has the better argument when we can witness a beheading? One person cheers, and the rest joins in. Say the words, just say it! It's not so hard to just say it! Fuck Biden! Just say "fuck Biden!" Come on it's just a phrase! Everyone else is saying it why can't you say it? "Lright sheesh. Fuck Biden. I mean, fuck Biden! Fuuuuuuck Biiiiiden!" Meanwhile home on the couch: both of these politicians suck and I refuse to vote. Biden has dimentia and Trump is an asshole. Personally, I don't give much creedence to the thoughts of the public; I am perfectly perfect with the hypothetical case of eating canine, for example. I'm also incredibly lazy and tends towards emotional bias to the person in the debate acting calmly, which of course is a fallacy.

Also, "538" is a stupid ***fucking*** number. By what fucking definition? In which circumstances? Public recorded speeches? If they were recorded on the street does it count? 538 is such an oddly specific number. Granted only symetrical preference would make me trust 500 more, but that also accounts for other people having a symetrical preference where 500 is more of a rough estimate rather than an exact count. Bit like saying 1 liter of milk rather than a milk carton containing the specified substance in a range from 999.90 ml to 1001.50 ml recorded thus far.
