gotcha. That actually makes sense. it wasn't that it sounded bad. If you were doing it for the effect, then I see exactly why you did it.

The aggressive gating was the point of it. It’s about timing. Those were manual gates. Meaning i had to do that in real time, and to the beat leaving the snare in tact.

yeah, that was pretty aggressive! It almost sounded like there was too much and too fast of an attack, so it was definitely choking some things off. I see exactly what you mean.
