I love when singers don’t just rely on their vocals but also choose their songs wisely. You picked such a beautiful one, full of poetry and heartfelt storytelling, the kind of song I’d love to listen to again and again. Honestly, it’s my first time hearing it, and it’s through you! From one person who loves this song to another, this was a fun cover to sing along to. Probably the closest we will ever get to singing together, barring some miracle of circumstance and personal reconciliation. Your choices to work within your range make sense and give you the ability to leverage the best parts of your voice, and your timing is very good to keep in sync with the instrumental. I can tell you have practiced this a lot. If I were to offer any constructive critique, it would be that emotion doesn't have to be tied to dynamics. Every note of this song, and honestly every song in this musical, is a study in emotional connection through music. Bringing that emotion into being from the first breath, before you even sing a note, could add so much more depth than is already present. Starting and ending any given piece is arguably the hardest thing to do, so I want to make sure you know that I loved this and in no way think this was bad or a cover you shouldn't be proud of. Good job ❤️
