Out of all the music that I love and enjoy opera is not one of those forms. I think it’s because most of the operas I’ve heard have been in foreign languages, and I think of them more as silent movies than anything else. Unless someone is there to describe every visual detail that they do in their big productions it’s hard for me to imagine even to the smallest detail what is going on. I know people do enjoy opera, so I’m very curious about what it is. Did you like about it?
