speaking of kids books. Does anybody remember reading about pam and tim when we were super little? They were basically the blind equivilent to dick, Jane, and spot for sited kids. haha. To answer your question I prefer audio for sure. I love when you get a great narator who puts emotion in to the characters voices.

I had to learn braille a little later in life, but I'm glad that I did. I much prefer to read in braille because I feel like that as a blind person, that is the only time I actually get silence. I don't know about anyone else here, or if maybe I will develop the skill as I am blind for longer, but I definitely find that I get ear fatigue. Where everything is so sound sound all the time, I develop a sort of sensitivity to noise, get headaches etc. I like that braille gives me a way to escape and actually experience silence. My own thoughts not being dictated to me by another person or a TTS. Braille is beautiful for that reason alone.
