Blind Frankenstein
As far as the popular RPG style books, I really enjoy a series called Morkster Chef. I can’t remember the author, but it’s about an orc who joins a party of adventurers as their cook. I also enjoy the dungeon crawler Carl series. And some others that I can’t really remember. I definitely haven’t read as many books in that style as others have though. But the ones with the orc chef are phenomenal.

I have way too many, but for traditional fantasy the first series I ever read and definitely one of my favorites is the pawn of prophecy by David Eddings. I forget the series name though, but that was the first book. I also love the Drizt series of novels by RA Salvatore with the first published book being the crystal shard.

But my favorite, The Expanse Series, The Unincorporated Man Series, Altered Carbon, Ready Player Two, and if you like Star Wars there's a few books there.

Drone Ensign is pretty good too.

Try, Powerflux, it is a series in the LitRPG genre.

@Lemuria the divergent series is amazing. I think that one falls under dystopian.
