Another experience I had were two who were primarily interested in one thing, and another who would do things at my house and with my friends but after our initial date wouldn’t go out to where we might run into any of his friends; relationship ended when I called him out on it.

Lol, I get it. Ahh, the infamous "Vorail,”, I’ve heard stories about that one, and Jacket FM and some other one and I missed out on all those…this is my first audio social platform and so far I am liking it. It can be very time consuming though lol, but that’s not a bad thing

Daisy all I have for social media is this application, and Clubhouse. I go through times throughout the year where I just completely delete everything off my phone, and just concentrate on everything but the social media applications. Time flies when you are on these things, and just look back at what time we started posting to where we are at now!

Whenever I go out with my sighted friends who are singles to other bars, or some kind of social event. They say that taking me out is better than taking a puppy to a park, because then everyone thinks that my friends are the greatest people for taking me out lol. It's so fucked up, but so true lol

O, ok, that’s cool Eddie, I actually hadn’t really known many blind visually impaired people until I decided to join fb groups during the pandemic and it’s been interesting to say the least but it’s good to be able to network and talk about things that people in similar situations can relate to.

Those sided friends of mine always say that I am lying, and the day they catch me driving a vehicle is the day they're goong to beat my ass for being a liar lol.!

I know what you mean Luis! Everyone in my family and household is cited, and everyone I interact with on my social life in San Diego is cited but for two friends of mine who surf and do jujutsu blind. They themselves were formally cited as well, and lost their site and later life.

Interesting topic and thread. I lost my sight in my mid 20s and have only been in 2 relationships since then and both were sighted. I have never actually dated a blind or VI woman, but I am not opposed to it. Not looking for a relationship currently though, if it happens it happens and if not it’s not the end of the world. I’m content and at peace. As far as the people I interact with in a typical week, everyone around me is sighted and some have even told me that they forget I am blind. True they knew me even when I had sight and now they know me as a blind person, but they don’t see me any different as far as my value. In the 2 relationships with sighted women being blind they were total opposite experiences. So it’s about the quality of the person, not the quality of their eyesight.

Ok. You're limited on what you can do in such a small town. So what is keeping you there from moving elsewhere, and pursuing the crowd or people that you would prefer?

Haha Eddie it absolutely does, which is why I've deleted 2/3 of my social media. I don't have Facebook or Twitter or Instagram or Tiktok anymore, only this and Mastodon. And I have to take breaks from Ramblio or I start to get unnecessarily snarky.

I mean, she's already said a couple of times that she doesn't interact with sighted people often, by choice and by virtue of where she's located. I think it's safe to say she isn't seeking out opportunities to socially coexist with them.

Hey Mystic dawn, what activities do you do that include you having to interact with sighted of people on a regular? I'm not talking about just going out to buy something, or taking a bus. I'm talking about going out possibly doing a pottery class, going to the gym, doing martial arts, or anything that would just make you part of a team?

Daisy serious question. You say that you're an introvert, but yet you are very eloquent in the way you speak and what you say. It is not just you I've noticed that there our a lot of people on this application that consider themselves introvert, and seem to have great people skills and communications compared to a lot extroverts
