Hah! Yes the book is a real thing! I do wish that she would’ve called it something else because that alluded to sex work rather than an examination of relationship, but all the same, it falls into the same umbrella as unconventional non-monogamous relationships!

This is my relationship kind of style as well as a gay man. I have loads, and loads, of friends with benefits but we are very close with each other. It’s never a drive by thing but always have our own separate homes and locations and things like that. I would highly encourage you to read the book, ethical slut, it’s a book that examines nontraditional relationship structures and yours is one of the kinds of relationships it examines. There’s actually a ton of non-monogamous relationship styles and I was not at all surprised to see slut shaming in the comments
